Pan Tool

Using the Pan tool, or "hand," you can progressively display adjacent areas of the document, just as you would by moving a paper document around.

Moving the Visible Area

Select the Pan tool, using Tool Pan; then click anywhere in the document and move the mouse while keeping the left mouse button depressed. The visible portion of the document will change according to the movement of the mouse until you release the button.
